The Story Behind Wogem Movement

women for Green Economy Movement Uganda is a registered community based organization dedicated in influencing and promoting women and girl’s participation in greener economy to promote social and economic development.
It was formed basically to help in achieving the SDGs so as to promote a sustainable growth for women such gender equality SDG 5, zero hunger SDG 2, No poverty SDG 1, decent work and economic growth SDG 8, affordable clean energy SDG 7 and lastly reducing inequalities SDG 10.
Through research and community education , WoGEM Uganda brings together vulnerable women and girls from all sectors and equip them with knowledge and capacity to engage in a greener economy movement for community livelihoods , climate change mitigation and resilience.
