Agriculture in Africa is the backbone of our country. And women being the responsible for the provision of food to the table, WoGEM Uganda will empower them on the best ways they can achieve zero hunger in 2030. According to food programme, 135 million suffer from acute hunger largely due to man made conflicts, climate change and economic down turns.
The overall objective of this programme, WOGEM Uganda will support small holder’s farmers to increase food production, boost social protection programmes like Emyooga, Youthlivehood, parish development model (PDM) to make sure that vulnerable citizens also benefit in these government programmes.
To achieve this, WoGEM Uganda provides massive publication and awareness to empower and support vulnerable citizens to plant more trees to mitigate climate change impacts to reduce on the food insecurities in their communities, startup environmentally friendly projects like piggery, weaving, pottery, and best ways of agriculture. This will help to support communities in economic enterprises aiming at increasing incomes and welfare of the members. We also i
